In late September 2026, the spontaneous committee ‘I passi della pace’ announced the Rubicone Peace March, scheduled for October 3. The event, which serves as the 169th stage of the ‘Giro d’Italia per la Pace’, aims to promote nonviolence and peace through a six-kilometer route traversing Gatteo, San Mauro Pascoli, and Savignano sul Rubicone. By early October, reports indicated that multiple peace marches were scheduled across Italy for the same day, October 3. In addition to the Rubicone area, a march was planned in the Cusio region from the Monte Mesma Convent to the Sacro Monte di Orta as part of the ‘Visioni di un futuro possibile’ festival. In the Rubicone region, local mayors are expected to announce municipal commitments to peace at the conclusion of the march in Savignano sul Rubicone.
