Pernambuco state childcare center expansion

The Government of Pernambuco, via the State Secretariat of Education, has continued its expansion of early childhood education infrastructure through the inauguration of several new centers (CEIs).

Initial openings included facilities in the Agreste region, specifically the Julia Grazieli Moraes Pereira center in Brejo da Madre de Deus and the Professora Eulina Gomes do Nascimento center in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe. Additionally, the Aída de Andrade Lima Rabello center was opened in Arcoverde. These projects, totaling over R$ 16 million across the three sites, utilize a Collaboration Regime where the state manages construction and initial funding while municipalities handle administration.

Following these openings, the state inaugurated two more centers in Mirandiba and Tacaratu. The Salvador Rodrigues Xavier center in Mirandiba and the Maria José Campos de Lima center in Tacaratu each involved investments of approximately R$ 6 million and R$ 6.2 million respectively. These facilities follow the same state-municipal partnership model, providing specialized spaces such as lactariums and classrooms to accommodate up to 324 children per unit.
