Petrobras sponsorship of Brazilian women's football
Overview
Petrobras has expanded its involvement in women’s football through new sponsorship agreements for major Brazilian tournaments.
In September 2026, the state-owned company acquired the naming rights for the next two editions of the Brasil Ladies Cup. This partnership includes brand rights for digital broadcasts, field signage, and social programs. The tournament is organized by the International Football Soccer Society (FIFOS) in partnership with the São Paulo Football Federation (FPF).
Following this, Petrobras acquired the naming rights for the Copa Maria Bonita, the largest women’s football championship in Northeast Brazil. The competition, which will be officially known as the Copa Maria Bonita Petrobras, is scheduled for its second edition in November in Pernambuco. The tournament receives support from the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) and the Pernambuco Football Federation (FPF).
