Overview

Health regulatory authorities in Argentina and Peru have taken actions regarding pharmaceutical distribution and product quality. In Argentina, the National Administration of Drugs, Foods and Medical Technology (ANMAT) suspended the inter-jurisdictional distribution authorization for Droguería Lomas S. A. following inspections in Córdoba that revealed failures to comply with Good Distribution Practices. In Peru, the General Directorate of Medicines, Supplies and Drugs (Digemid) ordered the withdrawal and destruction of specific lots of POLYWIN SAFETY intravenous cannulas and Ifosfamida 1g injectable powder after they failed quality control tests.

Subsequently, ANMAT revoked the medicine distribution license for Panalab S.A. Argentina for its facility in Buenos Aires. This revocation, which excludes products requiring a cold chain, psychotropic substances, and narcotics, followed a request from the company and a favorable technical report. ANMAT also limited the role of the company’s technical director, Pachielat, effective May 18, 2026.
