Religious groups in Brazil have conducted pilgrimages to the National Sanctuary of Our Lady Aparecida.

In early August, the Diocese of Petrópolis held a pilgrimage to mark its 80th anniversary, featuring a Holy Mass and the coronation of Our Lady. This followed a separate July pilgrimage by Radio Catedral, which brought a group from Rio de Janeiro to the basilica.

Later in August, the Archdiocese of São Sebastião do Rio de Janeiro organized its 126th annual pilgrimage. Themed ‘With Mary, missionaries of peace and unity!’, the event involved nearly 300 parishes and expected approximately 50,000 participants. The activities coincided with the 95th anniversary of the proclamation of Our Lady of Aparecida as the patroness of Brazil.
