Following the competition, Mayor Juan Ibarguren reported a positive economic impact, noting that the event boosted tourism during a low season with hotel occupancy exceeding 60 percent. This stimulated local commerce and gastronomy, creating temporary employment.

However, the event coincided with a surge in criminal activity. Authorities reported a wave of thefts targeting residents, tourists, and competitors, including the burglary of a racing pilot’s home, the theft of high-performance motorcycles from hotels, and the disappearance of three Toyota Hilux pickup trucks near the race site. Additionally, officials investigated the unauthorized flight of a Bell 206B Jet Ranger helicopter over the area during the weekend.
