Poland S17 expressway construction

Overview

The development of the S17 expressway in Poland is progressing toward its goal of connecting Warsaw to the Ukrainian border at Hrebenne. Currently, over 180 km of the planned 320 km route has been completed.

Key remaining work includes approximately 130 km of the route, most notably the 16 km Eastern Warsaw Bypass (WOW). A contract for technical and environmental studies for this bypass was signed in May, with a potential completion date of 2030 if documentation and approvals proceed efficiently. Additionally, work is advancing in the Lublin Voivodeship toward the border, supported by over 61 million euros from the EU ‘Connecting Europe’ project.
