Poland space technology sector development

Overview

Poland is expanding its domestic space technology capabilities through both financial investment and technical development. The government launched the 500 million PLN Vinci Space Tech Fund, managed by Vinci as part of the BGK Group, to invest in growth-stage companies specializing in areas such as satellite communications, rocket propulsion, and artificial intelligence.

Simultaneously, the nation is advancing its technical contributions to international space exploration. Polish company Astronika successfully completed testing for an egress system intended for the European Space Agency’s ExoMars mission. This system is designed to facilitate the safe descent of the Rosalind Franklin rover under simulated Martian conditions. Additionally, national centers are working on domestic systems for launching small satellites into low Earth orbit for civilian and military use.
