Polish Border Guard expansion and recruitment

The Polish Border Guard is expanding its infrastructure and personnel through new facilities and intensified recruitment efforts.

In Międzyrzec Podlaski, a letter of intent has been signed to establish a new station to monitor migration, detect border crimes, and oversee the legality of foreign residents. This facility is expected to eventually employ approximately 80 officers and will cover several areas including Biała Podlaska and Siedlce. To support this, the service is actively recruiting with benefits such as housing allowances and pension rights.

Simultaneously, the Maritime Division of the Border Guard (MOSG) is accelerating its own recruitment to meet annual staffing goals. The division aims to recruit an additional 120 personnel to reach a target of approximately 200 new members for the year. To address shortages, the MOSG has simplified the recruitment process by removing mandatory foreign language exams and is offering specializations in areas such as canine handling, pyrotechnic services, and passenger control. New officers can expect starting salaries exceeding 6,000 PLN net, plus housing allowances of up to 1,500 PLN.

These efforts are part of a broader trend across Polish security and defense agencies. The Internal Security Agency (ABW) is seeking candidates for roles in counterintelligence, cybersecurity, and analysis, specifically targeting highly specialized IT professionals such as AI programmers and blockchain analysts. Additionally, the Polish military is increasing capacity in non-commissioned officer schools with a focus on cryptology and unmanned systems, while the Police continue recruitment for various positions with competitive benefits.
