Polish TV duo exits Polsat

Overview

In early July 2026, Polish TV personalities Katarzyna Cichopek and Maciej Kurzajewski announced the end of their collaboration with Polsat. Their morning programme, “Halo tu Polsat,” which they had co-hosted since August 2024, concluded after Polsat chose not to renew their contracts. The pair clarified that their contract expired on 30 July, a move they described as a decision to close a chapter and focus on developing their own brands and internet projects.

Following their departure, the presenters moved toward personal ventures. By late August, Cichopek confirmed her return to the long-running soap opera “M jak miłość” for its 27th season, starting 7 September. She has also traveled to Switzerland to develop a new product for her cleaning supplies brand. Kurzajewski continues to pursue independent projects, including preparations for an ultramarathon in Cape Town.

Polsat programme director Edward Miszczak confirmed the departure was the duo's personal choice, noting he had attempted to persuade them to stay. While the station thanked the duo for their work on the popular show, Polsat has decided to continue the weekend morning format by implementing a new lineup of hosts to fill the vacancy left by the departing pair.

The departure coincided with the end of the long-running social-issue programme “Interwencja,” which aired its final episode on 31 July after 23 years, as its format was deemed to have “exhausted its potential.”
