Overview

During the first half of 2026, various Polish transport and industrial groups reported diverse financial and operational outcomes.

In the transport sector, rail operator POLREGIO saw significant passenger growth, reaching 50.9 million travelers in the first half of the year, with May marking a decade-high monthly total. Concurrently, highway operator Stalexport Autostrady reported increased revenues despite a minor decline in daily traffic volumes, while continuing infrastructure upgrades on the A4 highway.

Industrial results showed further divergence. TORPOL SA achieved record financial results, including a 7.1% increase in net sales revenue and a 10.8% rise in net profit, bolstered by a major contract for the Warsaw diameter line modernization. Conversely, the Izostal Group saw a 49% revenue decline compared to the previous year following the completion of major pipe deliveries for the FSRU regasification terminal, though its net profit still increased year-on-year.
