PopCon convention in Catanzaro
Overview
The inaugural Pop Culture Convention, known as PopCon, was scheduled for October 10 and 11 at the Ente Fiera Giovanni Colosimo in Catanzaro Lido. Directed by Sante Mazzei, the event focused on comics, video games, cosplay, and music, featuring guests such as ‘The Boys’ co-creator Darick Robertson.
As part of the convention, Nuvola Comics organized a presentation on October 11 for the graphic novel ‘Scusa 94’, written by Andrea Belcastro and illustrated by Fabio Gaudio. The work, which explores 1990s nostalgia in Calabria, featured a dialogue between Belcastro and history expert Giuseppe Ranieri. The initiative sought to strengthen the network of comic book festivals and contemporary language creators within the Calabria region.
