Prague bus line 145 launch via Blanka Tunnel

Prague has launched a new public transport bus service, line 145, which utilizes the Blanka Tunnel complex to connect the Dejvice and Čimice districts. The route provides a direct link between Prague 6 and Prague 8, bypassing the city center.

According to the transport authority ROPID, the service offers a faster alternative to the metro, with travel times of approximately 15 minutes compared to 22–30 minutes via metro transfers. To maintain reliability, the line utilizes preferential measures including existing and new bus lanes, as well as tram tracks on sections like Zenklova street. While officials noted that weekday rush hour delays remain a possibility, ROPID indicated that the lanes supporting the route could become permanent depending on traffic flow and approval from the Police of the Czech Republic and other administrative authorities.
