Production of Telugu film RC17

The upcoming film RC17, a collaboration between actor Ram Charan and director Sukumar, has moved from pre-production into active production.

Initial reports indicated that Sara Arjun was a frontrunner for the female lead and that the project was in the pre-production phase with a planned puja ceremony in Hyderabad.

Production has since officially commenced following a ceremonial pooja attended by industry figures, including Chiranjeevi. The film is being produced by Mythri Movie Makers, with cinematographer Ratnavelu and music composer Anirudh Ravichander confirmed for the technical team.

The project, described as a pan-India film, was launched with a grand pooja and muhurat ceremony in Hyderabad. During the event, Chiranjeevi served as the guest of honour, performing the ceremonial coconut-breaking ritual and sounding the first clapboard. This marks the second collaboration between Charan and Sukumar following their 2018 film ‘Rangasthalam’. The production is a joint effort between Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, in association with T-Series.
