PT Divine Gems and Jewellery investment fraud investigation

Overview

The Indonesian National Police's Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim Polri) is investigating PT Divine Gems and Jewellery for a suspected gold investment fraud. Approximately 85 to 86 victims have reported losses totaling an estimated Rp25 billion.

The fraudulent schemes allegedly utilized a pre-order system where customers were promised gold bonuses for purchases, as well as buyback schemes with high repurchase prices. In both instances, the promised gold or payments were reportedly not delivered. The investigation is examining several individuals, including a foreign national director with the initials JKR and an Indonesian commissioner identified as NB.

As the investigation progresses, public figures and influencers who promoted the company on social media have come under scrutiny. Jennifer Coppen and Kirana Larasati have denied involvement in the fraud. Coppen clarified that her role was strictly as a brand ambassador and that she had no involvement in internal management, fund handling, or operational decisions. She further stated that her contract with the company ended on June 19, 2026, following customer complaints.
