Public facility renovations in Iberia and Venezuela

In late July 2026 a health centre in Portuguesa state, Venezuela, was fully rehabilitated and reopened, offering 24‑hour service and new equipment for Guanare and surrounding municipalities. At the same time, a former school building in A Guarda, Galicia, Spain, was restored and repurposed for community use, signalling a turnaround from prior abandonment.

A few weeks later, in early August 2026, Portugal completed refurbishments of two primary‑care sites – the Lourinhã Health Center and the Tôr Health Extension in Loulé. Funded by the national Recovery and Resilience Plan, the upgrades addressed structural defects, modernised climate‑control and electrical systems, and expanded capacity for local residents. Officials highlighted the projects as part of a broader effort to modernise health infrastructure, reduce service disparities and support population retention.
