Public transport assaults in Poland

Overview

A series of violent incidents targeting or occurring on public transportation in Poland has led to several police investigations and arrests.

In early August, police in Lubin detained a suspect for smashing a municipal bus window and committing thefts. Concurrently, in Slupsk, authorities arrested a man following an assault on a taxi driver by a group of three Colombian nationals.

Following these events, a violent confrontation occurred on a tram in Kraków. A group of six foreign nationals reportedly harassed a female passenger, leading to a physical altercation when two male commuters intervened. Police have identified four individuals and detained two suspects suspected of being aggressors.
