Queensland solar and battery hybrid project development
Overview
Edify Energy has reached financial close for the Ganymirra and Majors Creek solar and battery hybrid projects in Queensland. These assets, which combine 360MWp of solar generation with 300MW/1,200MWh of battery storage, are supported by the Australian Government’s Capacity Investment Scheme and a funding pool of 14 local and international lenders.
Scheduled to become operational in 2028, the projects are expected to provide electricity for over 100,000 homes. The development involves DT Infrastructure as the EPC contractor and CATL as the battery supplier, with an estimated $450 million expected to flow into local communities through regional supply chains and employment.
