The University of Brasília (UnB) Planaltina campus is hosting the 8th edition of the ‘Mostra Terra em Cena e na Tela’ cultural showcase on August 20 and 21. The event brings together students, collectives, and quilombola and rural communities from the Federal District and Goiás.

The program consists of workshops, theatrical performances, audiovisual showcases, book launches, and discussion circles. Participating groups include the Instituto Federal de Brasília, Coletiva Quebra Mundo, Cena de Mutirão, and Kalunga Quilombo groups such as Encena Kalunga and Grupo Jiquitaias.

A central objective of the event is to promote reflection on rural cultural policies and to facilitate discussions regarding the construction of the National Program for Art and Culture of the Countryside, Waters, and Forests, which is being developed through collaboration between social movements and federal agencies.
