RCD Espanyol coaching change

Overview

RCD Espanyol appointed Eder Sarabia as head coach through June 30, 2028. Sarabia succeeded Manolo González, who was dismissed following a Copa del Rey loss to Sestao River and a period of struggle in the LaLiga relegation zone.

Sarabia is scheduled to make his official debut against Deportivo. However, due to a one-match suspension carried over from his previous tenure at Elche, he must observe his first match from the stands. He is expected to return to the technical area for the fixture against Athletic Club on November 20.
