Overview

realme has officially launched the realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition, a collaborative smartphone developed with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. The device features a design inspired by the Wizarding World, including a brown leather-textured back with an argyle pattern referencing Wizard’s Chess, a central Hogwarts crest, and a camera module designed to resemble the eyes of Hedwig the owl. Technical specifications include a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max chipset, a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, and a 200 MP main camera. The device utilizes “Quadra Light-Sensing Color-changing” technology, allowing Hogwarts house crests on the rear panel to reveal specific colors when exposed to sunlight or ultraviolet light. Software enhancements include Hogwarts-themed 3D icons, wallpapers, and animations via a themed UI 7.0 based on Android 16, which features a “Sorting Hat-inspired initial setup”.

The product is being rolled out in several markets, including India, Indonesia, Thailand, Spain, and Poland. In India, the device was priced at INR 62,999 and reportedly sold out within 24 hours. For collectors, realme is offering special gift packages, including a limited number of boxes designed to replicate a Hogwarts student trunk containing an acceptance letter, a Platform 9¾ train ticket, house bookmarks, and character postcards. Alongside the smartphone, realme is releasing the realme Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition, which features a golden-brown aesthetic and a charging case shaped like a miniature Hogwarts trunk.

Following its initial release, realme has confirmed the upcoming availability of the Harry Potter Edition in the Philippines, which will include features such as IP69 dust and water resistance and a 7,000mAh battery.
