Regional cultural and gastronomic festivals in Mexico

Overview

Mexico is hosting several regional cultural and gastronomic festivals throughout the summer and early autumn of 2026.

In August, Chetumal, Quintana Roo, began the second edition of ‘Oaxaca and the Guelaguetza in Chetumal 2026’, showcasing Oaxacan music, dance, and cuisine. Simultaneously, the Gran Feria de la Manzana in Zacatlán, Puebla, expected over 250,000 visitors, featuring apple giveaways and clockmaking exhibitions.

Upcoming events include the fifth Feria del Mole y el Tamal in Atlacholoaya on August 15 and 16, which will highlight regional recipes such as ‘mole rosa’. Following this, the eighth Feria del Xole is scheduled for September 4 to 6 in Chignautla to celebrate the ancestral Xole beverage.
