Regional development in San Juan provinces

In San Juan, Argentina, provincial and municipal governments have initiated several development and restoration projects. These include the ‘Handywoman’ program to provide women with construction and maintenance training, the ‘Eco Ruta Turística’ for nature tourism, and the expansion of the Provincial Afforestation Plan. Additionally, authorities completed the restoration of the historic facade of the Hospital Dr. Guillermo Rawson.

In the San Juan province of the Dominican Republic, new institutional developments have emerged focusing on agriculture, technology, and culture. The Ministry of Agriculture announced a RD$30 million subsidy to assist more than 1,500 small-scale producers in the San Juan Valley with the purchase of bean seeds. This agreement with the Banco Agrícola aims to support the planting of over 120,000 tasks.

Furthermore, the Special Fund for Agricultural Development (FEDA) and the Plan for Economic Development of San Juan launched the 15th Ruta de El Valle. This initiative promotes agro-industrial innovation, such as workshops on using agricultural drones for precision irrigation and fertilization, alongside social empowerment programs like Madres del Campo. In the cultural sector, the Dominican Institute of Telecommunications (Indotel) held the Soberanía 4.0 project to promote national identity through musical performances.
