Regional development and housing initiatives in Tabuk

In the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia, Governor Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz has overseen several regional development and recognition initiatives.

Infrastructure and urban services have expanded significantly. Following previous road repair projects valued at 176 million riyals, the region has launched new initiatives totaling over 2.3 billion riyals. These include 380 million riyals in contracts for city cleaning services and investment projects through ‘Bawaba for Investment’ expected to reach 1.5 billion riyals. This investment includes a 1-billion-riyal commercial district and the construction of six residential and commercial towers.

Housing and social support efforts have also scaled up. Recent contracts worth 354 million riyals aim to develop 344 units, contributing to a broader regional total of 5,100 units. Additionally, 177 housing units valued at 72 million riyals are being established, while the ‘Joud Housing’ initiative and ‘Sakani’ foundation have delivered 317 units to eligible families.

In social and scientific development, the Governor continues to recognize excellence through various awards. The 39th Prince’s Award for Scientific Excellence and Distinction honored contributions to community service, innovation, and academic achievement. Furthermore, the 35th Model Farm Award was held to honor 30 farmers for excellence in agricultural production and sustainability.
