Regional exam simulations in North-East Romania
Overview
Six counties in Romania’s North-East/Moldova region—Suceava, Botoșani, Neamț, Iași, Bacău, and Vaslui—have agreed to conduct a joint regional simulation for the National Evaluation and Baccalaureate exams from December 7 to December 9, 2026.
The initiative replaces previous county-level formats with a single regional simulation to manage a crowded educational calendar. To ensure objective grading, student papers will be corrected by teachers from partner counties using a Ministry of Education and Research platform. The program aims to establish uniform rules for subject development, administration, and result centralization.
In Suceava, specific procedures will be implemented for the Ukrainian mother tongue. The simulation is intended to serve as a diagnostic tool to identify learning difficulties and prepare students for the official national examination sessions in 2027.
