Regional wine festivals in the Balkans

Overview

Regional wine festivals and gastronomic events have been held across Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, and Serbia to promote local viticulture and tourism.

In Bosnia and Herzegovina, the BLAŽ Enology association organized a wine-gastro performance in Međugorje featuring Herzegovinian wine tastings and sommelier training. Simultaneously, the Vinska noć event in Blato, Croatia, brought together over 50 producers from the islands of Korčula, Lastovo, and Pelješac to showcase autochthonous varieties.

In Serbia, the 40th Wine Ball in Vlasotince included caricature exhibitions, folklore performances, and local winemaker stands. In Croatia, the month-long “Damižana” event in Zadar County showcased more than 160 types of wine from 90 producers, attracting approximately 10,000 visitors to the Cedulin Palace.
