Release of Caro Claire Burke’s novel in Brazil

Overview

American journalist Caro Claire Burke’s debut novel, ‘Bons Tempos: Yesteryear’, has achieved significant commercial success in the United States, selling over one million copies and appearing on ‘The New York Times’ and ‘BookTok’ charts. The satirical romance, which critiques the ‘tradwives’ influencer movement by following a social media persona transported to 1855, has also secured film adaptation rights through Amazon MGM Studios, with Anne Hathaway attached to star and produce.

Following this success, the Brazilian publisher Rocco announced the release of the translated edition. Due to high pre-sale demand, the book’s availability in major bookstores in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro was moved ahead of the official nationwide launch scheduled for August 17, 2026.
