Overview

The web series ‘Hunkkaar: The Roar’, streaming on JioHotstar, explores sensitive themes of sexual violence, faith, and social conditioning in India. Developed by Karan D Kapadia and Nitya Mehra, the project aims to address the epidemic of rape through a narrative described as a ‘David versus Goliath’ story about speaking one’s truth.

The series follows the investigation into accusations made by a 17-year-old girl, Meenu Rawat, against an influential spiritual leader.
