Release of Jimmy Stewart biopic ‘Jimmy’
Overview
The biographical film ‘Jimmy’, directed by Aaron Burns, follows the life of American actor Jimmy Stewart. The narrative spans his Academy Award win for ‘The Philadelphia Story’, his service as a combat pilot and colonel in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, and his eventual return to Hollywood for ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’.
KJ Apa stars as Stewart, receiving praise from Stewart’s daughter, Kelly Stewart-Harcourt, for an interpretation that avoids mere impersonation. The film’s final trailer has been released, featuring a cast that includes Max Casella, Jason Alexander, and Kara Killmer. ‘Jimmy’ is scheduled to premiere in select U.S. theaters on November 6.
