Relocation of 2026 African Men's Volleyball Championship
Overview
The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) announced that Tunisia will host the 2026 African Men’s Volleyball Championship. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, but was relocated to Tunis due to concerns regarding the “health and security situation” in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Following this relocation, the Nigeria Volleyball Federation began preparations for upcoming international events. While the Nigerian women’s national squad traveled to Kenya for the 2026 Women’s African Nations Volleyball Championship, the federation also initiated training camps for the men’s team ahead of the rescheduled tournament in Tunisia, which is set to take place from September 13 to 27.
