Renault Kwid production and market expansion

Overview

In early July 2026 Renault introduced the Kwid 2026 model in India, offering two versions priced from about ₹4.53 lakh. Less than a month later, the company highlighted that the Kwid had reached a cumulative 800,000 units produced at the Ayrton Senna Complex in São José dos Pinhais, Brazil. Of those, roughly 60 % were sold domestically while the rest were exported to 17 Latin‑American markets, including Argentina, Chile, and Uruguay. Renault’s Brazil chief also noted a planned facelift for the Kwid that would adopt styling cues from the newly launched Indian version, signalling a coordinated design update across markets.
