Renesas Gen 3 DDR5 MRDIMM launch

Overview

Renesas Electronics announced its third‑generation DDR5 MRDIMM chipset, capable of 16 000 MT/s and roughly 25 % higher bandwidth than the prior generation. The initial release note on 2 August highlighted the new multiplexed register clock drivers, data buffers, power‑management ICs and temperature sensors, and positioned the product for AI, cloud and high‑performance‑computing workloads.
