Residential fires in Hatay, Turkey

A series of residential fires have occurred in the Hatay province of Turkey, causing significant property damage.

In the Antakya district, a fire destroyed the home of a Syrian family of earthquake survivors. Preliminary reports suggest the blaze may have originated from an electrical installation, specifically a socket. While the house was rendered unusable, no injuries were reported as the homeowner managed to rescue his son.

In the Defne district, a fire and subsequent explosions destroyed a ground-floor apartment in the Çekmece neighborhood.
