Resignation of Tea Košir from Slovenian government

Overview

Tea Košir, the former Slovenian State Secretary at the Ministry of Health and former Member of Parliament, has transitioned out of her political roles. Following a proposal by Minister of Health Tadej Ostrc, Košir resigned from her government position and formally submitted her resignation from her parliamentary mandate, opting not to return to the National Assembly as an independent MP.

While reports initially suggested she might pursue a professional path at the Ministry of Infrastructure, Košir later announced she would not take a position at the Directorate for Infrastructure. Instead, she is returning to her family business, EcoSija. Her departure follows an investigation by the Commission for the Prevention of Corruption regarding her potential employment at the Directorate for Infrastructure. Additionally, Košir has claimed she faced threats concerning a land purchase in Bled made with her husband.
