Ricardo Arjona and Grupo Firme musical collaboration

Overview

Guatemalan singer-songwriter Ricardo Arjona announced a musical collaboration with the Mexican group Grupo Firme titled ‘Amor Factura’. The project was inspired by a video of Grupo Firme’s lead vocalist, Eduin Caz, performing one of Arjona’s songs.

Following the announcement, the single was released on October 1. The track blends bolero norteño with regional Mexican sounds and explores themes of romantic relationships acting as financial transactions through a mix of satire and melancholy. ‘Amor Factura’ serves as the lead single for Arjona’s upcoming album, ‘De todo un poco’, much of which was produced in international locations including Nashville, London, and Stockholm.

Arjona described the collaboration as an organic process rather than a planned business strategy, emphasizing a desire for musical partnerships based on ‘genuine human connection and artistic affinity’. The single has achieved significant digital traction, surpassing 6.4 million views on YouTube within three days of its release. This project follows Arjona’s history of notable duets with artists such as Gaby Moreno and Paquita la del Barrio.
