Overview

In early September 2026, police launched an investigation into a shooting in Hillston, Riverina, where a victim was shot in the leg in a backyard. The injury was reported as not life-threatening.

Following an operation by Strike Force Voral, tactical officers arrested a 42-year-old suspect at a property in Gunbar on September 4. He was refused bail and scheduled to appear in Griffith Local Court on September 10.
