The investigation expanded to include Acting Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan, who was summoned to testify as a witness. Prosecutors are scrutinizing a meeting between Bogos and Bolojan at Victoria Palace to determine if political connections were used to overturn veterinary sanctions. The political party AUR has characterized the legal action as a potential political attempt to pressure Bolojan following his calls for early elections.
