Rondônia public security and social initiatives

The government of Rondônia has implemented several measures to enhance public safety and social services. Authorities delivered 18 new vehicles, funded by the National Public Security Fund, to support the Maria da Penha Patrols and Specialized Police Stations for Women's Assistance. This investment, totaling R$ 3,305,830.32, aims to improve the monitoring of protective orders and expand investigation capacity regarding violence against women.

In addition to combatting violence, the Public Ministry of Rondônia introduced training in Ouro Preto do Oeste to establish a school violence prevention protocol. This program coordinates education, health, and public safety sectors to manage threats, prevent bullying, and identify early warning signs of radicalization.

To support administrative operations, the State Secretariat of Security, Defense, and Citizenship has launched a selection process for the Professionalizing Voluntary Service Program. This initiative seeks to create a reserve list for 332 administrative roles, including 302 positions for the Military Police and 30 for the Military Firefighters Corps, distributed across 23 municipalities. Volunteers will assist with tasks such as public service, document organization, video monitoring, and IT support. Selected participants will receive a monthly indemnity allowance of R$ 1,215 during the first year, with a potential increase to R$ 1,350 upon renewal. Benefits include transport, health, and uniform allowances, as well as personal accident insurance. Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have completed high school, and be able to prove unemployment status.
