Salomon global brand and market expansion

Salomon is expanding its global presence through strategic partnerships and new competitive disciplines. The brand has entered a five-year global partnership with Ironman, effective from 2027 through 2031. Under this agreement, Salomon will serve as a premier partner with exclusive rights to performance footwear, apparel, and technical bags, and will hold naming rights to the ‘Salomon Run Course’ at Ironman and Ironman 70.3 events. Salomon will also act as the title partner for the 2027 Ironman World Championship in Kona, Hawaii.

Simultaneously, the company is growing its footprint in the urban and outdoor running markets. This includes hosting large-scale events, such as the Salomon Running event in Milan, and promoting ‘Gravel Running’ in China—a hybrid discipline combining urban and trail running. These initiatives aim to transition the brand from a mountain performance label to a ‘modern mountain sports culture brand.’ Financially, Salomon reported $2 billion in revenue for 2025, representing a 35% year-over-year increase, and is pursuing retail expansion in China via flagship stores and direct-to-consumer models.
