Saltillo Manuel Acuña Award nominations

Overview

The Saltillo municipal government has opened the nomination process for the 2026 Presea Manuel Acuña, a cultural award intended to recognize creators and promoters of art and culture within the city.

To be eligible for the ‘En Vida’ category, nominees must be Mexican nationals who were either born in Saltillo or have resided in the municipality for at least five continuous years. Candidates must not be previous recipients of the award and must not appear in the State Registry of Persons Sanctioned for Violence Against Women or the State Registry of Delinquent Alimony Debtors of the Judiciary of the State of Coahuila.

Nominations can be submitted in person at the Secretariat of the City Council offices or through the official municipal website. The deadline for submissions is August 21, 2026. The awards are scheduled to be presented in November by the Municipal Institute of Culture.
