San Andrés Cholula municipal development initiatives

The municipal government of San Andrés Cholula, led by Mayor Lupita Cuautle, has initiated several administrative and developmental programs focused on regional growth and legal infrastructure.

In early August, the administration convened the seventh session of the Comité Ciudadano Cholula Pueblo Mágico. This committee facilitates collaboration between citizens and the administrations of San Andrés and San Pedro Cholula to protect cultural heritage and promote economic development. The group plans to showcase the region at upcoming events, including the Tianguis Nacional de Pueblos Mágicos 2026 and the Tianguis Turístico de México 2027.

By late August, the focus shifted toward territorial management with the inauguration of a forum titled ‘Cadastral Modernization and Legal Security: Challenges and Perspectives in Territorial Management.’ This initiative seeks to modernize cadastral processes to provide greater legal certainty for property owners and strengthen the municipal tax base and institutional organization.
