Santa Fe municipal urban regulation updates

The Municipality of Santa Fe has implemented several regulatory and operational changes regarding urban services. In early October, authorities authorized a 10% increase in urban bus fares via Decree No. 0081. This adjustment, which responded to requests from service providers citing rising operating costs and salary increases, established new rates for various passenger categories, including students and retirees.

Later in the month, the municipality introduced technological and infrastructural updates to the Municipal Ordered Parking System (SEOM). These measures include testing high-resistance thermal adhesive material for parking bays and implementing a double-numbering system on pavement and curbs to improve visibility.

During this period, the city also issued a fine of approximately 922,885 pesos to the Vecinal Candioti Sur neighborhood association for placing protest signs on public street furniture. While the association claims the fine is linked to disputes with the SEOM, municipal authorities maintained the penalty was due to violations of ordinances regarding advertising and the use of public space.
