Schwarz Digits and SAP have launched ‘RISE with SAP on STACKIT’, a cloud solution designed to facilitate the migration of ERP applications to a sovereign European cloud infrastructure. The partnership aims to provide an alternative to US-dominated cloud services for companies prioritizing data protection, privacy, and compliance.
Under this model, SAP serves as the central contractual partner for software operations and support, while STACKIT provides the underlying infrastructure in Germany or Austria. Schwarz Digits identified STACKIT as the only European hyperscaler currently providing these services.
The offering is commercially available immediately, with technical deployment for new systems scheduled to begin in November 2026. Schwarz Digits noted that the service maintains price parity with other certified infrastructure providers within the RISE with SAP program, allowing customers to access European data protection standards without a financial premium.
