Sarajevo Canton police armored vehicle procurement

Overview

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton has initiated a public procurement process to purchase three additional specialized armored vehicles. The tender is valued at 3.9 million KM, excluding VAT.

This acquisition is part of a broader effort to increase police capacity. The Sarajevo police force currently operates seven armored vehicles and is awaiting the delivery of three more. Upon completion of this new procurement, the force will possess a total of 13 specialized vehicles. Minister of Internal Affairs Admir Katica noted that over 70 million KM has been invested in equipping the Sarajevo Canton police, stating that the vehicles act as a deterrent and a means to protect the city against threats to law and order.
