Scoot expansion of China flight network

Overview

Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has announced the expansion of its China network through the launch of new services to Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province. Scheduled to begin on 26 October 2026 as part of the Northern Winter 2026/2027 schedule, the airline will operate three weekly flights to the city using Airbus A320neo aircraft.

The new route will facilitate connections from various regions, including Malaysia and Australian cities such as Perth, Sydney, and Melbourne, via Singapore Changi Airport. With the addition of Guiyang, Scoot will operate a total of 81 weekly flights to 16 cities across mainland China.

In addition to the Guiyang expansion, the airline is increasing flight frequencies to several other Asia-Pacific and Southeast Asian destinations, such as Phuket, Hat Yai, Clark, and Kota Kinabalu, to accommodate year-end holiday demand.
