In Álamo, Mexico, gunfire targeting a teacher’s parked vehicle at Adolfo López Mateos primary school led to the temporary suspension of school activities.

Newer reports indicate sophisticated planning and direct violence. In Quilmes, Argentina, Federal Police raided a teenager’s home after an FBI alert revealed the minor used ChatGPT to plan a school shooting, seizing tactical gear including a balaclava and goggles. In Medellín, Colombia, a 17-year-old student entered the Gabriel García Márquez educational institution with a weapon, fired shots to intimidate others, and subsequently self-harmed. Police arrested two men seen on camera removing the weapon from the school.
