The Social Democratic Union of Macedonia (SDSM) has raised alarms regarding the expansion of Serbian media influence within North Macedonia. Following these warnings, SDSM spokesperson Bogdanka Kuzeska alleged that a Serbian media network is operating in a “suspicious manner.” Specifically, the party questioned the legitimacy of Euronews Macedonia, noting its presence at government press conferences despite allegedly lacking formal working permits. The SDSM accused the government of Prime Minister Mitkovski of treating these entities as established stations while investigations by the Financial Police and the Agency for Audio and Audiovisual Media Services (AVMU) remain unclear. The party characterized the influx of these outlets as a vehicle for “anti-Macedonian and anti-EU propaganda.”
