Serbian Unity Day celebrations

Overview

Serbia and Republika Srpska observed the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom, and the National Flag on September 15. The holiday commemorates the 1918 breakthrough of the Salonica Front during World War I.

As part of the celebrations, the Kula Beograd tower in Belgrade was illuminated with the colors of the Serbian tricolor and coat of arms. Belgrade Waterfront stated the lighting serves as a symbol of national pride and represents the unity of the Serbian people.
