Sexual assault allegations at Cambridge Planet Fitness

Overview

Laquan Holland, 40, was arrested following allegations of sexual assault at a Planet Fitness in Porter Square, Cambridge. On October 1, 2026, prosecutors allege Holland brought a woman to the facility under the pretense of using the showers, where he then struck her, touched her inappropriately without consent, and attempted to remove her clothing while restraining her.

A second woman, identified as a female employee who attempted to intervene, was also allegedly sexually assaulted by Holland. One victim required hospital evaluation following the incident.

Holland, who has prior convictions for child rape dating back to 2006, faces multiple charges including two counts of assault with intent to rape, two counts of indecent assault and battery, kidnapping, and witness intimidation. He has entered a not guilty plea and is being held without bail pending a hearing scheduled for October 16. Planet Fitness has revoked Holland’s membership and is cooperating with law enforcement.
