Sexual assault investigations involving minors

Overview

Multiple criminal investigations regarding the sexual assault of minors have been reported in France and Senegal.

In France, authorities have detained several suspects in unrelated cases. In Paris, an instructor is in custody following more than 20 complaints of rape and sexual violence against children aged 3 to 5 at a Catholic preschool. In Saint-Aubin-d’Aubigné, a 21-year-old instructor was charged with the rape and sexual assault of minors under 15. Additionally, in Saint-Seurin-sur-l'Isle, one adult and two minors were placed in pre-trial detention following an alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old girl, an incident that prosecutors claim was filmed for distribution.

In Senegal, a 27-year-old man in Kaolack faces accusations of rape, pedophilia, and abduction involving a 15-year-old girl. The suspect admitted to sexual relations but claimed the encounter was part of a romantic relationship.
